A couple of days ago, the sound in my laptop stopped working. I checked if it was muted, but it wasn't. I went to 'Sound Settings' and pressed 'Test Sound' and both left and right speakers tested fine and I could hear the sound. So I tried to play a YouTube video but all I got was silence, I also tried to play a couple of songs in Clementine but also silent. I rebooted and tried to test the sound again, but this time when I click the 'Test Sound' button, nothing happens.
I opened a Terminal window and fiddled with the alsamixer settings, but nothing in their seemed related to my problem. Hopefully it's something silly; I'm still relatively new to Ubuntu. But any ideas, suggestions are appreciated
