X-Fi sounds worst than Live!

Hi, i just recently bought an EMU20k1 based X-Fi XtremeGamer to replace my old Sound Blaster EMU10k1 Live! card and found that the X-Fi dosen't sound as lively as the Live! As in the X-Fi's sound seems flat and the 3D stereo effects/EAX dosen't seem to be as good as what was on the Live! The sound also isn't as crisp and sharp as the Live! I'm wondering if it is supposed to be like that, or if there is a problem with the X-Fi config/driver. Also the front audio plug dosen't work as wel as the MIDI which I believe the EMU20k1 is still capable of. Anyway to fix the card?Thank you.

Ok, after messing with ALSA and cleaning the jacks on the back of my card, I go the audio sounding like it should now. Now if only I could get the front audio working as well as the MIDI support.
