I got my Lenovo ideapad S10e up and running with Elementary luna too, only three minor hickups

• had to use a lan-cable to get the broadcom STA driver installed for wireless network
• had to use swtchbord to enable edge scrolling on my mousepad
• When you only have a 10 inch screen you definitely want to enable intellihide on plank else it will get in your way

Thanks Stinger, I didn't see that. I would suggest the full info is put in, especially for new users, e.g.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:rye/ubuntuone-extras
sudo apt-get install indicator-ubuntuone
sudo apt-get install pantheon-files-plugin-ubuntuone

Also for newbies ctrl+shift+c and ..+v to copy and paste into the terminal.

Installed the libreoffice ppa, but the updates wont install, so I presume I need to use the debs instead?

Elementary should be ubuntu precise compatible, I don't think you need to install any deb's.
I assume you want the latest and greatest libreoffice ? else you don't need any ppa, it's right there in the softwarecenter

But if you for some reason need the latest and greatest, try the first answer on this question on ask ubuntu:
How do I install LibreOffice 4?
It seems that you need to do a apt-get dist-upgrade too, but I havent tried it myself.

Loved both Gnome shell and unity, also cinnamon and xfce, but i just can''t get into this.

I get this message when trying to upgrade LO. I will try the version in the software center instead.

I see your point, it's because Elementary Luna identifies itself as Elementary Luna and not precise. same scenario I had with the medibuntu repository
If you take a look at the /etc/os-release and the /etc/issue files you can see it for yourself, I would not recommend changing or replacing those files with the ones from precise though, it might lead to other breakage.

But...
You can download and install the deb packages directly from the LO downloadpage, remember to choose the deb packages for your architecture (It likes to offer you an rpm package but that's not the one you need )

If you want it to have better integration with Elementary you could follow the guides from elementary update "LibreOffice on elementary" part 1, part 2 and part 3
As I said before I haven't tried it myself yet.

I tried adding the LibreOffice 4.1.x ppa myself, after adding the ppa in the softwarecenter I did

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo apt-get install libreoffice

It works fine here, dunno why it doesn't work for you ? strange
Still I would recommend installing directly from the LO page as mentioned above, much easier to install the local language and the looks are better.

Now I have playing around wit eos Luna since last time I posted in this thread. It's very nice indeed. Though I miss Global menu, too bad the devs aren't considering it as an option. I know they want to use the gear at the right side as getting to app options philosophy. But a lot off apps don't use it, but uses traditional menus, which defeat the purpose of what the eos devs tries to achieve. By installing third party apps in eos will ruin the aesthetic and the workflow from what they are trying to accomplishing in eos.

If people like to tweak or change stuff this is not the distro, but for people who's satisfied with the out-of-the-box use and don't want options, eos is a good choice.
