    Threads wrongly marked "Solved"

Should we report threads where the OP has marked a thread "Solved" when it obviously isn't? Here's an example: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2193042

Perhaps a mod could changed "Solved" to "Closed" or do something more appropriate in such cases?

It's a drive-by that will soon be forgotten. It'll get closed if it becomes a problem.

Personally, I'd rather see you keep reporting CoC violations and spam!

    Re: Threads wrongly marked "Solved"

"Solved" usually means that a solution has been found and hence "you don't need to open the thread if you want to provide an answer".

It could also indicate "original poster is giving up so you don't need to open the thread".

I assume that if a thread is marked "solved" I can find the solution. Otherwise it is just misleading.

    +1

If we had about a thousand extra mods, I'd say feel free to report solved threads if there's no solution given. But we don't, so I won't.

I have a response to that but it may get me in trouble even though, IMO, it's not vulgar or abusive or a violation of the CoC (IMO).
