    IP Configuration

    Hi All,

I have ubuntu installed on VMWare over my windows workstation.

I get a dynamic IP to my VMWare from the router.

Is it possible to assign the IP manually using command line.

Please confirm how can i disable the automatic ip and steps to assign a manual one.

    Thanks in Advance

Well it is a normal home router which won't be configured manually i guess ....

I think i can get the IP addresses which comes out of it's pool to be assigned and i can manually assign them.

though I am not if this can be done.

Go to Settings > Network and tell it to use a static IP.
