    Question Redundant Laucher Icon

I changed my interface language from English to Spanish and changed some of the standard folders to their Spanish equivalents (via a wizard that appeared) - e.g. 'Downloads' to 'Descargas' and 'Desktop' to 'Escritorio'. I also moved the entries already in the 'Desktop' folder to the new 'Escritorio' folder and altered paths as necessary.

When all this was done, I noticed that I had an icon for the desktop (escritorio) in the launcher. However, it is completely inert. Clicking on it does nothing. Right-clicking does nothing. And at least once, repeatedly trying to do something with it has completely frozen the desktop to the extent that I had to do a hard reset to get control back.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can get rid of this?

    Regards
