Question Desktop icons for non-repository apps

    Hi,

I have two non-repository applications installed on Ubuntu 13.04: Google Dart (because no repository version exists), and Eric4 (because the version installed from the repo segfaults). The latter has been reported as a bug, but nothing seems to be happening. So I installed in manually.

Because search thingy, whatever it's called, only seems to show apps from the repository, I'd like to create desktops shortcuts for these two applications. However, I can't see any way of doing it.

(Oh for the days when all you had to do was right-click > create shortcut)

    Thanks
