Ubuntu software

What ubuntu software do you consider must have software? What software would you consider nice to have (don't really have to have but something to add if you feel like it)? What software would you remove if you have it?

Here are some of the names of the software that came with my instalation of Ubuntu, which of the above software catagories would you sort these into (must have, nice to have, remove it): Radio Tray, Clementine, Virtual Box, Pinta, MyPaint,Wally.

grub customizer (nice to have.)

synaptic, gedebi, ccsm, pulseaudio volume control, alsamixer. These should be installed by default IMO.

There are probably others, but those are definitely the "Must Haves" for me, no matter which *ubuntu I am using.

• xchat
• gimp
• digikam
• qbittorrent
• chromium

There several other packages I install that aren't essential, but they do make life easier

• Samba

Must Have : vlc,xchat,chrome,netflix,docky, those are the software I must have, and netflix works great on both laptop and desktop.Most things I do are web based, I also watch Netflix movies through vlc, which is great quality wise on both laptop and desktop.
