Smile Desktop dictionary Tool for Ubuntu

Can anyone suggest me a good [free]dictionary tool for offline use in Ubuntu.
I tried using GoldenDict, but all it does is search wikipedia to fetch any information.
Gnome Dictionary/Wordnet might be an option.

Is there anything elegant like "Oxford Dictionary"?

On my system goldendict uses Websters and some other offline dictionaries that I downloaded years ago to use with stardict.
Stardict will still work but is no longer being developed, I believe, but the dictionaries may still be available.

    EDIT:
Yes there are several which work still and you can get from http://abloz.com/huzheng/stardict-dic/dict.org/

    This link will help:http://www.noobslab.com/2012/11/howt...buntumint.html
I have used it for several years and it works great. Already included in Ubuntu, just follow the instructions on the site to use offline.
