Do these Wi-fi USB Adapters work with ubuntu?

    Hello!

I am planning to buy a Wi-fi USB adapter for an ubuntu 13.04 computer. Is there any advice for which brand to buy?

I have some model numbers for Belkin Wi-fi USB adapters. Do any of the ones listed work with ubuntu??? If so, do they need a special driver?

    Belkin:
    N150 Wi-fi USB adapter
N300 High Performance Wi-fi USB adapter
N600 DB Dual Band Wi-fi USB adapter
N900 DB Dual Band Wi-fi USB adapter

Also, are there any Netgear Wi-fi USB adapters that work with ubuntu? Are there any experiences to share? I would appreciate all help that comes.

This could be a good place to start looking:

    Good luck.

Simple. Just do something like this for every card you mention:

Please check first line in my signature.

The brand is sort of irrelevant; it is the wireless card inside that matters. Some will, some won't. Most things Broadcom or Realtek are pretty good now days. Lots of brands use them so it can get confusing.

Just noticed this thread, so sorry if info is too late, but there are two very compatible usb wireless adapters on my "recommend list" . . . . the TP-Link 722, and the Panda UltraWifi mini adapter. Of the two, the TP-Link comes with a multi-direction antenna, and just seems a high quality device (even better is the TP-Link 822 with dual antenna). TP-Link and Panda devices are plug & play - - no drivers needing to be installed.
