    Problems with unity-tweak-tool

Somehow I accidently created desktop icons for Computer, Home and Trash.
I can't get rid of them, if I restore to defaults they go away after I log out and back in, but they return next time I boot.

If you remove the icons/shortcuts from ~/Desktop to they come back when you log out, and back in again?

It seems to me that You're trying to remove icons and You should try to remove application-shortcuts from ~/Desktop...

~/Desktop is empty, it shows zero items.
