    how can i use shortcuts in ubuntu 13.04 terminal?

    for ex. paste(ctrl+v)......its very irritating that i have to right click everytime as then paste

    Have you tried control-shift-v?

    When you full screen the terminal, on the upper left part, go to 'edit', then 'profile preferences' (or similar to that). there you can manage all the shortcuts for your terminal.

    Part of the problem you have is due to the conflict between default system keyboard shortcuts and those used in terminal, eg Ctrl+C cancels any command that is running rather than being a copy shortcut.
