Cheap gaming mouse with at least 10 buttons?

I have a Logitech MX518 which has 2 main buttons, a clickable scrollwheel, and 5 extra buttons, for a total of 10 inputs.

Unfortunately 2 of the extra buttons (#6 and #7) are mapped at a VERY low level to change the DPI on the fly, and absolutely cannot be used at all in Linux (was possible to fix with older MX518s, but not the newer ones)
Also another two of the extra buttons (#8 and #10) are considered by games (or at least by L4D2 and Portal) to be the same button! And using xbindkeys to remap them to keyboard keys is ignored...
So in reality I only have 7 of my 10 inputs/buttons available, because Logitech doesn't publish its button mapping software for Linux

Anyway the point, after that little rant, is this: can you recommend me a cheap gaming mouse with at least 10 buttons/inputs that ALL work for Linux gaming? I bought this new for $50-60, so something at a price close to that.

Is there no such thing for Linux?

I would look at Roccat mice. The have linux drivers and I plan to get one when I build my next computer. I have no experience with them yet however.

The Roccat Kone + looks ok, although perhaps a bit smaller than a MX518?
I'm a little bit wary of buying another mouse with DPI+- buttons, which this has...they definitely publish their remapping software for Linux?

The linux drivers are a community project, but are promoted by Roccat themselves.
