Question My dad disabled a game launcher I had...

And its still there. It's just, every time I try to open it, it says, "There was an error creating the child process for this terminal". Can anyone tell me how to enable it? Thanks.

He disabled it because he claimed I played too much. He said that if I could re-enable it, that's fine with him, but he doubts I can.

Knows Not; Hi ! Welcome to the forum.

Sounds like you have your homework cut out for you ! I will not go against your dad's direction ....but all will help if you help yourself.
Firstly remember google is your friend as well as other search engines, see NewDocs in my sig .... research the background and ask a pertinent question on what you do not understand ... and in this realm, I will assist you.

Hopefully this will lead to a greater interest in computers than just what games one may play.

A dad who knows how to disable a launcher?
    Who knew?
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

Re: My dad disabled a game launcher I had...

I eventually fixed my problem. My dad wrote two scripts, ~/reviveGames and ~/stopGames, and started a cron job with them, resuming my games at 2 and stopping them at 3. I simply did crontab -r and then wrote ~/reviveGames. Now I have a new problem. A new minecraft update (1.6.1) came out, and I can't seem to find out how to make a new launcher for it (you need one).
