    Unhappy Software Index Broken

Whenever I try to use chrome or firefox, it doesnt open. Now, I know you're going to say use sudo apt-get update and sudo apt-get install -f , but they don't work.

Try opening applications in a terminal window. Paste the complete error message here.

If apt is not working, that's a separate problem. Post a complete failed session, including all output, here.

    When opening in terminal:
    ~/Desktop $

    When apt-get update:
E: Type 'https://launchpad.net/~s-elser/+archive/winelol' is not known on line 1 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list.d/additional-repositories.list
E: The list of sources could not be read.

    When sudo apt-get install -f
    Reading package lists... Done
    Building dependency tree
    Reading state information... Done

Well your apt-get is working properly.
    What happens when you type
    Code:
    firefox
    or
    Code:
    chrome
    in the terminal?

About the sources.list.d/additional-repositories.list file error you have to edit it and see the first line (as indicated in error message), it cannot start by https directly but it has to have a deb before.

Please post your additional-repositories.list file in order to fix the error in line 1

This means that running multiple instances would start multiple browser processes rather than opening a new window in the existing process. Aborting now to avoid profile corruption.
