want to buy a gaming laptop with full ubuntu support

i have a dell studio 1450 laptop running ubuntu for know......i really love the way ubuntu team is working for the people like me. i am planning to get alienware m17x r4 and want the official ubuntu with full support. Although i know that there's no such term called "official ubuntu". Its free and open for everyone but still want that the company whom i am buying the pc from should give ubuntu pre-installed with full support.

i have read about the sound lags and other issues with m17x running ubuntu but is there still any other gaming laptop which supports ubuntu? and works well with it without any glitches?

all i want is: a good gaming laptop with pre-installed ubuntu O_o

Not a gamer, so I have to ask -- are these native Linux games? Or, are they Windows games?

Because if the latter, sorry to tell you, but there's no such thing as "full Ubuntu support"! Why? Because you'll have to run them in Ubuntu using Wine and its companions -- and there's no guarantee that any games will work well in that situation. If you check the WineHQ website application compatibility tool for the games and versions you want to run, unless you see a Platinum rating for every game, you are going to be disappointed in the gaming experience.

Absolutely. I think it's good advice to go for Windows if you're heavily into gaming.

If you can afford that, it would be my preferred way to go -- always buy the hardware designed to do what you want to do most.
