Is medibuntu necessary for security of system?

    Hello,

Is adding the medibuntu repository to the repositories on my ubuntu system necessary for security purposes? What I mean to ask is if adding the medibuntu repository is necessary to get the latest security upgrades for my system and the packages on my system? I use ubuntu 12.04 .

No. It is a repo for multimedia stuff that might not be included in the standard repos.

    Hello!

    In a word: No.

Medibuntu is Multimedia, Entertainment & Distractions In Ubuntu.

If you haven't installed any apps from Medibuntu, you don't need to have the repo.

    Best wishes!

I think you'd have a hard time finding any security application in the Medibuntu package listing here
