No, sorry - iPhones and iPods and iPads can only be loaded with music using Apple's own software.
They are designed to lock you into the Apple software, which sadly only works on Macintosh and Windows.

Yes, absolutely. You can load music onto Android phones without needing any special software.
I try to treat the cause, not the symptom. I avoid the terminal in instructions, unless it's easier or necessary. My instructions will work within the Ubuntu system, instead of breaking or subverting it. Those are the three guarantees to the helpee.
