Change ssid of the network created by "Use as Hotspot..."
Broadcom Corporation BCM4313 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN Controller (rev 01)
When I go into "System Settings..." > "Network" > "Wireless" > "Use as Hotspot..." > "Turn On", the system creates a network with the SSID name the same as my machine name and a pseudo-random security key. Is there any way to change these default settings so that I can create my own SSID and password? Are there settings hidden away in some system file that I can edit? Some "advanced" mode where these settings are suddenly available?
Re: Change ssid of the network created by "Use as Hotspot..."
i not sure 100% but if you want to create a new network click you uper bar network and create a new one. what you want to do?
an other thought is to read about the file /etc/network/interfaces
