rtl8188 & 13.04 problems

i keep running into this so i'm thinking that my 13.04 is too new for this driver

maybe a newer driver somewhere? maybe pointing to where i can find this file?

Please see the post above yours. Any reason you prefer the 8188cu to the rtl8187 device?

i can't get speeds i want out of the 8187 it tops out at 54 and thats only if i am very lucky

And the built-in to 13.04 rtl8192cu does what? Connect? Not connect? Connect and disconnect? Or...?

mostly because of the integrity or the signal. it goes fast...then slow, then kinda fast, then slow, then blazing fast, then almost nothing.
