    Installation of drivers

    Hi Everyone,

I have an asus motherboard and it came with Linux Drivers on the cd...

Can someone indicate how one would go about installing these drivers, or is there a manual or tutorial.

    Thanks

Hopefully you won't need that CD at all as all of the drivers you need will already be built into the kernel.

Is there anything that makes you think that you need to install any extra drivers such as hardware not working?

Yes actually, the system seems sluggish and the Open GL does not work well with my vide card i had another thread on how to install video card drivers but that didnt work out so i was hoping if i could at least install the chipset drivers it would solve a few problems

Are you using Ubuntu? If so, what version?

Those are Windows drivers, and even if you COULD install them, they would not work (not would the utilities on the disk) -- as this is Linux.
Ubuntu 15.04 Mate, Mint 17.1; MS Win 8.1, Win10 TP.

    Robert R; Hi !

My input -> High end ubuntu requires high end hardware to perform well.
Does your graphic's card support accelerated graphics ?
unity 3d test, all responses must be yes:
    Code:
    /usr/lib/nux/unity_support_test -p -f

As you indicate sluggishness as a determining factor ... leads one to think older hardware; Lighter versions of 'buntu may perform quite well on your system.

    Else: Investigation will continue.

    just what I think
