    iso file too big (770,000) for CD writer (730,000)

    The iso file I downloaded for ubuntu starup disk is 770k but my disk only allows 730 K.
    WHat am I doing wrong?

    you can use, either:
    - unetbootin http://askubuntu.com/questions/21798...run-unetbootin
    - mini iso https://help.ubuntu.com/community/In...tion/MinimalCD

    or use an usb stick if your system is able to boot with.

    The Ubuntu iso files have been too big for a CD for a while now. Either burn it to a DVD or use a USB drive.

    use USB cd's are outdated
