Random Keyboard Strokes Change Monitor Setup

I switched to Ubuntu a couple months ago for Rails development and I love it. I have a couple nagging issues though that are very frustrating. Primarily, every time I wake my computer from sleep, within the first 5 minutes, some random key stroke will cause the monitor configuration to change. It's happen enough times that I have confirmed I'm not bumping anything. It also happens on random key strokes, usually something involving the CTRL, SHIFT or ATL keys. The standard monitor switch key stroke still works, but doesn't get me back to the previous configuration once this error has occurred. I usually have to go back to the setting and fix things.

My computer is a Dell XPS 14 ultrabook with 13.04 installed. Thanks!

Anyone? Today I hit the backspace key by itself shortly after waking from suspend and it change the monitor layout.
