If you install xfce4-screenshooter, you get that box each time. See the section on Xubuntu 12.10 here: http://askubuntu.com/a/252282/25656. You can check how many dependencies it will pull in on your system by "sudo apt-get install --no-install-recommends -s xfce4-screenshooter".
Shortened urls: See point #11 here. And clicking on them could be risky.

You don't need to install anything. There is a drop down menu called "save in folder" when you press print screen. If you don't choose anything then by default it is saved to Pictures in your home directory.

Why hasn't OP marked this solved? Doesn't monkeybrain2012's answer work?

The default screenshot should give u the option where u want to put ur screenshot...
And if u have the issue resolved, plz go to the first thread, Click Edit--> go to advanced and Under Prefix Tab please mark the thread as 'Solved'

Please just dont leave the thread open, coz u hav found a solution n dont want anything to do with the thread or forum....
