Why Chromium 28 is not in the ubuntu repositories

I have installed Chromium with ubuntu repo
According to the following link it's not the latest released(28)! it's 25! why?
    http://www.chromium.org/developers/calendar
    what is wrong?
25 is completely out of date! it is released 6 month ago!
Is there any official final released PPA of Chromium?

Shortened urls: See point #11 here. And clicking on them could be risky.
    Use ubuntu-support-status with caution.

When 28 is released it means that bugs are fixed or can be fixed in newer (future) version not older ones
