Excuse me to insist something litte obvious, but just to double check: After you install Intel Linux Graphics, did you install the drivers?

You have to open this App and then let it install the right drivers for you.

Have completed with greens OK on all steps?

If still not working, try to boot from a Live CD/DVD/USB to check if your system somehow corrupted or not.

You processor / video card is definetelly suported.

Re: Installed Ubuntu 13.04 and Intel HD4000 Problem

Yes, of course... I did it!
This problem is present in every live OS that I have tested: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, Ubuntu 13.04, Linux Mint 15 and Fedora 18.

Now I have installed Fedora 18 on HD and, after system upgrade via "yum update" the problem is gone away!
I would like to return using Ubuntu and so I wonder what upgrade (maybe kernel?) fixed this.

I can't still change screen resolution, that is locked to 1024x768 even if my graphic card and monitor support 1920x1080!

    Any help is still appreciated...
