Angry Inspiron 3520 issues with Ubuntu

I recently have started having issues with windows 8 on my laptop, so I decided I would try dual-booting Ubuntu. My first, more major thing is that my Ubuntu won't boot. It won't open up GRUB and will just boot

directly to W8. The second issue is my wireless driver won't work. Can someone help me with the first, non-booting issue?

I have figured everything out on my computer. I reinstalled my Ubuntu as the LTS version(12.04) 64 bit, which fixed the whole mess-up with Legacy and UEFI, and my Wireless Driver was just in the additional drivers application.
