Question Nano - soft wrapping words

    Hey folks,
first time linux user here; been at it for about a month now and loving every second of it. So far I have been able to find tutorials or juryrig a sollution to all my problems, except one.
I use the nano text editor - tried VIM/Emacs/... and nano just kept comming back. Recently I found the "-$" option which makes my life a lot easier, as I write text files in nano.

The thing is that with '-$' nano cuts words in half. Is there any way to do a line wrap and have it wrap whole words rather than individual characters?
