Trying to get firefox to open .wav and .mp3 in audacious

    Hello,

I have set the options in Edit > Preferences > Applications to read "audacious" for .wav and .mp3.

When I click on a .wav or .mp3 file in Firefox, I still see the dialog asking "What should Firefox do with this file?" and listing "Movie Player (Default)" as the only Open option.

I am able to click "Other..." and navigate to /usr/bin/audacious, but that takes a long time (opening /usr/bin takes forever!) If I click on other .wav or .mp3 files during that firefox session, audacious becomes available in the drop down list along with Movie Player.

I would like to make audacious the default and have it be available every time.

    thanks

    Well, here's a weird fix.
I tried Print Screen to make an image of the dialog so I could explain in more detail, and then audacious became the default!
    Solved ... ?
