Since I have a laptop to spare I've been tinkering around with different distros. I tried openSUSE, but it was a pretty meh experience. I fired up Debian Wheezy but I had a hard time getting excited with it when it's already packing slightly older software, which of course won't change throughout its cycle unless I start enabling some repos. In an effort to find an alternative distro to my main Ubuntu choice, but wanting a Debian base, I went with Linux Mint Debian Edition. The semi rolling cycle (instead of true rolling, it comes out with 'update packs') is extremely attractive to me. Plus, Mint actually does a very, very nice job with the Cinnamon environment. Rocking that now. Part of me can't help if it'll make its way onto my main work laptop...
