I'm surprised no one suggested it's an alternative to crop circles because it's an obvious alien landing site

Now if only I can find a way of doing this via G+ (then again 1TB of space is pretty sweet )

Even if the water isn't pumped to the top or brought by precipitation, I am not surprised to see water there. Have you ever wondered how water gets from tree roots to the top of tall trees? The answer is most likely the same for both instances: Capillary Pressure. If the rock under the palace is formed from porous rock or even a non-porous rock with micro-fractures throughout (which may be expected on an ancient volcanic island). The attraction between water and the narrow pore channel walls can easily provide enough force to lift water vertically many hundreds of feet.

The same principle is utilized by trees; water is propelled upward due to an attraction to the walls of the small spaces/channels between the plant cells.

Perhaps you should rephrase your statement from "No one really knows how..." to "Most people don't know how..." or maybe even "Most people don't care why..."

Now you know, and knowing is half the battle.
It is a rock, but not a porous one, 200 m above the ground level. Everything had been done more than 1500 years ago. There had been large buildings on the top, now only ruins are left. Lot of scientists still trying to find how some of those structures had been constructed there, including the many massive ponds. I've not climbed it yet, but I will one day. Hope you guys would have chance too.

I just love KDE a lot more now
I wonder when will the KDE developers ship the Snow plugin again. I really miss that eyecandy.

Never thought that I would become a Unity lover but that is just what happened after giving it a fair shot! I am using an elementary theme, a wallpaper from interface lift, custom icons from various websites and used "myunity" to tweak transparency on the panel and unity bar. Oh, an I use Ubuntu 12.04 x64 as my main OS
