I happen to have a certain personal fondness for Mapup which has about 212 users and Puppy Linux has approximately 23,000 registered users. Apple on the other hand has sold approximately 84,000,000 iPads. When those 84,000,000 iPads are tossed and replaced by older hardware running Puppy or one of it's derivatives I will be happy to agree with your statement.

Yeah, but not one of those 84,000,000 iPads can play a third of the Internet Radio stations that my little junkyard Puppy can play. Dem's the facts. Ya cain't fight'em.

LOL actually that's not true but considering there are tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of online radio stations I think I can manage to miss a few. Not to mention listening to radio is hardly an indicator of how versatile a device is, whether it's a pc or a tablet or a smart phone.
And btw, you can play FLAC files on an iPad with the right player, although why one would want to use up 400MB-500MB for an hour of music on a portable device is beyond me.

enough of this banter. more screen shots.

edit: just as an example, Radio Free HQ, which is a free app has 51,000+ radio stations, from 190+ countries. That doesn't count all the other radio apps.
