Could Ubuntu One problem slow internet connection?

    Silly question.

Have been looking for a reason the internet was morbidly slow last night. The speed test (when in could get the page up) was o.k at 16 Down about 2 up (I'm told that's what I'm supposed to get.) but web pages wouldn't load or load intermittently.

This is probably a red herring but I noticed 2 emails I saved to a folder synced to Ubuntu One were both named today.eml. Last night I was getting the same message each time I opened the browser "___" is being uploaded to Ubuntu one - and still again in the morning. I disconnected Ubuntu One to stop it syncing and renamed the two similar files. Everything is working as normal now --- I'm not saying the two events are connected though.

    Thanks

You can set bandwidth limits for up and down in the U1 control centre application.

How could I have two files both called today.eml in the same folder? Normally a message would say today.eml already exists?
