Question Uninstall Cinnamon for installing Gnome 3.8

I have recently migrated from Windows to GNU/Linux and I decided to install Cinnamon, but now I'm regretful because I'd like to install Gnome 3.8 and it seems like they are not compatible at all (and I checked some time ago). So I'd like to know if I can uninstall Cinnamon for installing Gnome 3.8 and get some more graphic personalization.

    To remove Cinnamon:

If you installed it through an extra PPA, remove this also.

    Install Gnome 3.8:

Shouldn't be any problem doing this, right?

Gnome 3.8 is more for testing at the moment and there are mixed results among users of the PPA. I found many of my themes no longer displayed properly, but there are 3.8 themes available. I have tried 3.8 twice and I'll wait and see if it makes into 13.10 as an official package. If this is your daily user system be aware there is some risk.

I did it: I uninstalled Cinnamon and installed Gnome 3.8, and I didn't die trying
