Are SGI Rackable 3U 16 Bay SE3016 SAS Expanders multipath capable?

Does anyone know if these are are multipath capable?
If they are - is it possible to add multipath setup after an mdadm array has been created on the drives in the shelf?

These are not multipath capable, but they are nicely priced units. You can read more about them here.
