    Unable to shutdown completely

I get this message every time I shutdown, and I've to switch it off manually after this. Any clue how to sort this out?

EDIT: So silly of me for not providing any details. I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 64bit on an HP DV6 6121tx laptop (i7 2.0GHz 4GB RAM).
