Linux compatibility of Lenovo Thinkpad X230

    Hi all,

I have found my current 12" netbook to be a blast and am thinking of replacing it for increased compatibility with Linux distros. Now I am running Lubuntu 12.10 and am looking at the 12" line of Thinkpad notebooks by Lenovo, specifically the X230 or the precursor X201.

Has anyone had experiences with Lubuntu, Ubuntu or other distros on these versions of Thinkpad? Mainly I want to get increased functionality this time around so that I don't have to struggle constantly as I have had to with the current Asus. Specifically I have had issues with graphics cards, so I want to get the correct hardware compatibility right from the get go.

All feedback and user experiences appreciated!

The Linux compatibility of ThinkPads is usually good. For the specific models in question:

    Read through the installation reports.

    You're welcome.

    Edit:

I forgot to mention, that I have an i5 X220 loaded with Xubuntu 13.04 (personal preference over Ubuntu). I've been more than pleased with it.
