The requirement to phone home at least at regular intervals or have the machine refuse to work is a dealbreaker for me.
If I own something, it has to do whatever it's capable of whenever I want it to.
Good!
Not so great
Boring.......

So I'm pretty sure I will refuse to be in the same room as an xbox one. That, or its time to start wearing more hats.
No machine has the right to monitor me just to make sure that there aren't too many people in the room. In my own LANGUAGE

Looks like a pretty cool console. I'm going to ignore the paranoid people who I'm assuming are afraid to go outside for fear of being followed by the government or something.
@mr john
And I'm going to try to ignore the people who resort to caveman to justify their wants and needs.

Got the Kinect for the 360 only a week ago, hope they keep pumping some more titles to at least keep the kids happy (I hate playing games that make me sweat )... As for the "One"... cool tech crippled by greed IMO.
Oh, but my Ouya should be here in the not to distant future so that makes me excited

Looks like PS4 is going to be a winner leaving MS with their DRM dead in the water. The PS4 will have no restrictions on loaning, selling etc of games, there is also no requirement to connect online to play your games. Then there is the small thing of being the more powerful console and it's $100 cheaper than the xbone (minus the eye thingy $60).
So which one would you buy if you had to get a new console....?
