    If software isn't patched for security, it will be prone to things like this.

    You don't know what you are talking about.

    The last time this happened a few years ago, it was suspected that one of the few hundred Debian Developers was victim to a keystroke logger when s/he logged into Klecker.

    I can assure you that they are up-to-date with their security patches.
