    My system tray not working

I have a new problem. I updated to Ubuntu 13.04 when I rebooted the video was messed up. I fixed that. But know when I boot up to the desktop there's a message that says "Sytem tray not dected on this computer and above that it says HP slip?" I went on the internet and looked up what I could and one page said to use Dconf editor so I did and it don't work? Not that it didn't fix the problem but it wouldn't work at all like it was froze. It's like my system tray wont boot up during start up. I did install an HP printer and had that HP slip in the system tray what ever that is? But it was working fine untill after the update? Could anyone please offer me some advice?

Is your problem related with the news in this link: http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2013/02/r...tray-whitelist ?

Thanks for the reply but no I didn't see the white list when I opened up dconf. so I don't think it applys to my problem.
