Saucy+Empathy+Facebook

Hi clan:
I hit another road block.I cannot set up my facebook account with empathy in Saucy 13.10
and I am not the only one http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.p...7#post12654297
but this seems a Saucy problem not in Raring thou.

Same problem for me. Here is what worked: instead of using the Empathy "Facebook" protocol, use the "Jabber (XMMP)" account protocol and for the login, use:
"<facebook username>@chat.facebook.com" then your password. This worked for me.
