    Tablet and Ubuntu

    Hello fellows,

I am considering to buy a tablet-netbook all-in-one. I would appreciate any suggestion on what product should I buy. Of course, it should be a device that could work full with ubuntu.

    best,

The best advice is to wait 6 to 12 months and buy a tablet with Ubuntu Touch pre-installed. Otherwise, if you want to experiment, look at this:

It is a machine. It is more stupid than we are. It will not stop us from doing stupid things.

That is definitely wise. However, I am looking for a gift for my wife's birthday... If you have any suggestion for experimenting, do not hesitate in share it.

Thanks for your comment. I am not looking for cheap devices (albeit I do not want to pay just for the brand). What I am looking for is for a good device, which means, something that can work with linux instead of Microsoft crap.

    Thanks,

I am going to buy a Nexus 10. I hope that Ubuntu Touch will solve the pending issues soon: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Touch/Device...tate_of_things

You know, there are chatbots that go to the trouble of machine-translating random snippets on unrelated subjects and inserting random links to product pages for SEO purposes, and then there's this. I don't actually understand the purpose of quoting random copy from a product page onto that product's own forums, in a related thread, without linking to anything....

    Seriously - what is it?
I know I shouldn't use tildes for decoration, but they always make me feel at home~
