    After further searching the web on the clock issue, I came across a way of making Windows 7 use UTC BIOS. See this page.

    Create a text file and copy the following into it
    Code:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\TimeZoneInformation]
    "RealTimeIsUniversal"=dword:00000001
    Save the text file and rename it as utc.reg on your Desktop.

    Double click on the reg file and it will make the Windows registry use UTC BIOS time.

    EDIT

    I had to apply the registry hack twice before it had any effect.
