From what I see at the links below, your processor uses the 32 bit instruction set, so I beleive that means that you need the 32 bit download. Also, the 32 bit version will run on either 32 or 64 bit architecture. You may need PAE if you have a lot of RAM, but on mine it installed automatically if I remember right (I am now in 64 bit with an Intel i5).

The first link indicates a Pentium M 755 (meaning that the second link for a 770 is irrelevant), which is a 32 bit processor without PAE.
You can install Xubuntu 12.04.2 and use it as is or upgrade to a newer release using Fake-PAE.
