    Kernal Not supported problem



    Hello everyone...I am getting the following error while installing Ubuntu12.04 from bootable USB on my laptop......my config is i5 2nd gen...4GB Ram.I am a complete newbie to Ubuntu and need suggestions to solve it. I downloaded the Ubuntu 12.04 and used created a bootable USB.But, when I boot from Usb, this error occurs.This screenshot is taking while trying to run Ubuntu Iso file in Virtual Box.

    What kind of installation is this, e. g. dual boot Windows/Ubuntu, single boot Ubuntu, Wubi, or installation in virtual machine? How did you create the bootable USB drive? Assuming that you can't get into the live session, my first idea would be either a corrupt download or a problem during the creation of the flash drive. Did you verify the checksum of the downloaded iso?
