logon disconnects at desktop load using xrdp

    Hi,

I'm using xrdp to connect to my Ubuntu Server that has kde4 installed to it, and when I log on via remote desktop, it gets as far as the splash screen of kdm, but when it gets to the part where the desktop appears the screen disappears & it disconnects.

I've posted to the xrdp forums on sourceforge, but its not very busy there so Im trying to get some help here too.

Can anyone advise as to how to get the desktop to load?

    Thanks.

what are you using to connect to it? make sure it supports nx. I had the same issue with the 2x client

I'm connecting through the Windows rdp client. What's nx?

I don't think the windows built in supports nx, try using the nx client

nx are optimizations to rdp, which is what xrdp uses
