    12.10 recent random shutdowns !!!

hi I have an one year old laptop, Acer Aspire model. it recently started to make me really worried by this strange random shutdowns...it's like when you hold the shutdown button for a few sec then it shut off immediately....it's like that...so scary...it happens randomly, maybe every two three hours...

I first thought it's overheating...but I installed this software called Psensor and I checked the temps every minute and figured that it's not overheating...
and then I checked the the cable. I don't think it's the cable either.

    thanks in advance

Did you look into the system log files? It might give a hint on why the machine is shutting down.

I guess I should upgrade to 13.04...it might just solve the problem...
