missing forum formatting toolbar in chromium

I mentioned this issue in another thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2144962&page=2).

In Chromium 26.0.1410.43 Debian 7.0 (189671) in Debian Wheezy and in Chromium 26.0.1410.63 (192696) in Chakra, I see no formatting toolbar when I go to post (or reply) at the Ubuntu forums. No problem in Google Chrome 26.0.1410.63 in Wheezy, or in Chromium 25.0.1364.172 Ubuntu 12.04 (187217).

Anybody else seeing this, or have any idea how to fix it?

No. Under "Content settings," I have "Allow all sites to run JavaScript (recommended)" selected.

Re: missing forum formatting toolbar in chromium

Interesting stuff, and perhaps not all that important, but I can't figure it out. I have either Chrome or Chromium or both in various distros. Looks like my settings are the same in each case. The formatting toolbar shows up in Chromium in some distros, but not in others.

    Shows up in:

Google Chrome 26.0.1410.63 (Official Build 192696) -- Debian Wheezy
Chromium 26.0.1410.63 (Developer Build 192696) -- Bridge Linux
    Chromium 25.0.1364.172 (Developer Build 187217) Ubuntu 12.04 -- Ubuntu 12.04
    Google Chrome 26.0.1410.63 (Official Build 192696) -- Ubuntu 12.04
    Chromium 26.0.1410.43 (Developer Build 189671) -- Sabayon

    Doesn't show up in:

Chromium 26.0.1410.43 (Developer Build 189671) Debian 7.0 -- Debian Wheezy
    Chromium 26.0.1410.63 (Developer Build 192696) -- Chakra
    Chromium 27.0.1425.0 (Developer Build 185065) -- openSUSE

For each of these, I looked at my settings. Also looked at the contents of the About Version page in each case, but I didn't see anything there that might be the cause.

I haven't noticed this issue at any other Linux forums, only here at the Ubuntu forums.

So, I give up; I've got more important things to worry about.
