Can't install Kubuntu/Ubuntu/Mageia on my Acer 771G laptop

As per title I'm unable to install any linux distribution tried so far (Kubuntu/Ubuntu 13.04 and Mageia 3 rc).
In reality it can't even boot the live session.

The usb keys work perfectly on my desktops, but not on this laptop (who came with win8 preinstalled. Then I installed win7).
When it boots (either with *buntu or Mageia) it seems to load, then it seems the kernel is loading, the screen becomes black and nothing else happens.

On the bios to install win7 I selected "legacy-bios" option, rather than uefi, which should assure more compatibility with those live images.
