Nautilus menu bar disappears without global menu??!!

In Ubuntu 13.04 the Nautlius menu "Files" (> New Window.. Preferences etc ) disappears if I remove the global menu (indicator-appmenu) I don't want the global menu but I don't want to lose the Nautilus menu, is there any way around it?

    I am using Unity.

    Thanks.

    .
    1. use older 3.4 nautilus
    2. look at source & see if you can move the things you want in the appmenu to a toolbar menu

Hi, tried that out. It is true that it restores many functions, but it is also very slow. When clicked it opens with this little sphere spinning forever. .. Afraid not a very good solution.

    Edited:
Opps, it seems that sluggishness of nautilus is because of the compiz-experimental ppa that I have enabled. I need to purge the ppa because the update a moment ago killed my desktop, after purging it nautilus is now working normally. So I will mark this thread as solved (at least for 13.04) Thanks Frogs Hair for the link.

Edited: Hi I can't mark this post as solved as I can't find any "prefix" box described here https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UnansweredPo.../SolvedThreads
